A full audit revealed that nearly 9.5K of their followers were fake or inactive. This not only harmed visibility but put the account at risk of being deprioritized by Instagram’s algorithm. Before publishing any new content, I focused on slowly and safely removing the fake followers, shifting the profile toward a real, local London-based audience.
We also looked at the existing content and identified a lack of energy and clarity. Being a pop-up, it was essential that the content told the story — highlighting the quality, fun, and atmosphere behind Pako Taco to attract new customers and event organisers.
The cleanup process dramatically improved the account’s performance. By removing fake followers and shifting the content strategy, we saw a steady rise in authentic engagement — more likes, comments, and shares from a genuinely interested audience. The visuals we created helped communicate the quality and personality behind Pako Taco, and our first giveaway brought in a wave of organic attention. Most importantly, the refreshed social presence led to more customer interest and secured bookings at higher-profile pop-up events. The account now reflects the true energy of the brand and continues to attract real customers and collaborators.
